MERCURY INSTANT MESSAGING SYSTEM MOVES TO BETA

Saturday, February 2nd, 2002

Liquid Communication Systems has recently released a beta version of its flagship product Mercury Instant Messaging System (MIMS). Several local businesses are now using this beta version of MIMS on a testing basis.

MIMS, due out in full release late second quarter, is a centrally administered business instant messaging system that includes features such as conversations, meetings, file transfer and MemoMessages. Currently, MIMS is intended for small businesses with up to 100 concurrent users.

“We’re very excited about moving to beta,” said President and CEO Hayes Davis. “MIMS is running in actual business environments, and the feedback we receive from this phase will directly impact our full-release version.”

Liquid, a software company specializing in business communications and headquartered in Raleigh, is currently looking for North Carolina area businesses to beta test MIMS. For more information about testing, please contact Liquid at beta@liquidcs.com .
