EFFUSIA 1.2 FOR LINUX RELEASED

Monday, January 20th, 2003

Liquid Communication Systems, LLC announced the immediate availability of Effusia Business Messenger 1.2 for Linux on Monday, January 20. This new version of Effusia adds server-side message logging, increases the speed and efficiency of the Effusia Server and adds numerous other system-wide enhancements for Effusia users running Linux. Effusia Business Messenger 1.2 for Windows was released Monday, January 13.

The Effusia Server logs all messages passing through the system as well as file transfer requests. Liquid customers have the option of logging messages to a set of rolling XML files on the local file system or to many different kinds of SQL databases. The platform independent data formats used by the Effusia logging system make it easy for customers to access the log information in whatever way they see fit.

Effusia Business Messenger provides managed presence-enhanced communication for small to medium enterprises. It is a centrally administered internal communication system designed for deployment on company LANs. Effusia features communication tools including instant messaging conversations, meetings, file transfers, broadcast MemoMessages, and offline messaging. The Windows and Linux versions of Effusia are fully interoperable.

“With the release of Effusia 1.2 for Linux, we’re providing the same powerful but easy to use feature set that?s available in Effusia 1.2 for Windows for those IT departments that need the reliability and openness of Linux systems.” said Hayes Davis, President & CEO of Liquid. “Our focus is on meeting the real-time communication requirements of our customers. The combination of our new server-side message logging with the ability to run Effusia in heterogeneous environments meets critical needs for many small to medium businesses.”
