Effusia Instant Messaging Server

Fast installation and setup

With a simple wizard, the Effusia Server automatically installs as a Windows service, configures itself based on a provided license file and automatically starts itself.

Secure

The Effusia Server can accept 128-bit SSL connections so your instant messaging stays secure. As an internal IM server, you can decide to expose it to the internet or not just by configuring your network hardware. If you do decide to allow outside connections, the Effusia Server uses Java technology which has built in feature to make it less vulnerable to typical hacker exploits like buffer overruns.

Configurable for your network

Need to listen on specific ports or multiple ports? Got two NIC cards and need to use a specific host? Want to allow access through your firewall? The Effusia Server allows you to enable/disable SSL per port, allow connections on any port or restrict connections to a particular IP address on a multi-NIC card server. Great documentation and help resources let you get down to the nuts and bolts of configuring your server just the way you want it. Your information stays safe and your network stays the way you like it.

Lightweight but powerful

The Effusia Server is designed to use minimal resources. No need for dedicated hardware or expensive database software like some other systems require. In fact, many of our customers simply add the Effusia Server to an existing server machine without any degradation in performance. The Effusia Server will easily scale to thousands of concurrent users without the need for upgrades.

Built-in message archiving

The Effusia Server provides message archiving right out of the box. All messages processed by the Effusia Server are automatically archived to rolling XML log files which can be fully configured. Optionally, messages can be logged to a JDBC compliant database. Effusia Auditing & Reporting provides sophisticated reporting from this message archive.

Cross platform

Take advantage of your existing infrastructure. The Effusia Server has both Linux and Windows versions so you can deploy on the platform you need.
